Ahmed Saleh
Theater director, scenographer and writer
Ahmed Saleh is one of the participant in Body Movement worhsop in Alexandria and Beiruth in the frame of RAMI plate-forme in 2007.
Born in 1974 in Egypt, he obtained a degree in Literature option theater department in 2002.
Ahmed Saleh is a Director, scenographer, writer, trainer and theater animator. He has been working in Dramatic Arts since 1989. He has established in 2002 the theatrical troop “al Madina” –the city. He also executed the scenography of several artistic works.
He received recently the Second prize of “Sawi” award for short stories. According to Ahmed Saleh , the Dramatic Arts is a medium that facilitates the understanding of the human nature and behavior along with the relations and contacts among the individuals that come from different cultures and backgrounds. It is a unique language that can be spoken and used by everyone. Thus, the continuous ideas combining the movement and the light techniques are the predominant when he is producing an artistic work.
“Orest” a theatrical performance presented by El Medina Group for Performing and digital Arts and the Greek culture foundation in Alexandria:
A poem of Yannis Ritsos which is a dialogue with the ancient legend giving Orest impersonal qualities in line with the contemporary image of non-event. Thus “Orest” shows as a young man full of hesitation and questions of modern times. And at the same time silence indicates that it was influenced by the lamentations and invite Electra to revenge their mother Clemnestra that killed their father Agamemnon.
This includes stage performance personal Electra of Sofoklis cry for vengeance from the depths of the ages. This sound Orest lead for the role allocated to him by history and not his desire.
