Moultaqayat RAMI 14.0 Alexandria

After a decade of cultural exchange and media cooperation, and seven years after establishment of RAMI network, digital tools are fully integrated to art field, social networks are now essential to communication, and artists are heckled by crises and revolutions going through their societies.

Between 5 and 10 June 2014, the RAMI 14.0 MOULTAQAYAT Alexandria have offered time for reflection open to artists, students and cultural operators around the process of creating and dealing with the changes taking place in our societies.

PROGRAM

A collective master class led by three artists, Nabil Boutros, Renaud Vercey, Mohamed Youssef and their guests.

5, 6 and 7 June, 2- 7pm

5th June : Nabil BOUTROS, photographer and scenographer

Master class issue: Nabil Boutros will present his relationship to Egypt; distance at a time, back and reunion, empathy, questions and answers in images, till his latest works.

Guests: Young artists fine arts faculty students, “Walkscape” workshop’s participants.

6th June : Renaud VERCEY, multimedia director

Master class issue : Audiovisual’s creation with digital tools, soft cinema, independant production and collaborations on a film.

Guests: Mayye Zayedand Nermeen Salem, independant filmakers, Rufy’s members and Karim Shaaban, director and independant movie maker, Ahmed Nabil, documentary filmmaker.

A professional meeting - 10 June - 4 -7pm
Around issues of artistic development in Egypt and the Mediterranean region.
A RAMI LAB will run from 5 to 9 June, the out put will be presented at the professional meeting

The RAMI 14.0 MOULTAQAYAT have been followed by the symposium of the XXI° of the Alexandria Biennale for the Mediterranean Countries on the theme: “The will of change”.

The Biennale opened on the 10th June, in Alexandria Fine Arts Museum until 6 July 2014

The RAMI 14.0 MOULTAQAYAT Alexandria were held at the Atelier of Alexandria.
